As many as 15 million people in India are blind, and an additional 52 million are visually impaired. Inadequate resources and infrastructure have resulted in gross under delivery of quality eye care in North India, especially to the rural poor.
Recognising that a large percentage of the blindness in North India is preventable/curable and often aggravated due to lack of access to quality eye care, IGEHRC is creating world class, state-of-the-art eye care facilities across North India.
IGEHRC’s seamless operations and highly efficient systems allow the two hospitals located at Amethi and Lucknow to help a huge number of patients to regain sight or receive treatment while its well-structured community outreach programme has been successful in reaching out to the underprivileged and poor living in remote areas to gain access to world-class eye care.
You can help us take forward our vision of eliminating needless blindness in North India by supporting us.
